Blog :: Toronto's First Macaron Day!

Hi Everyone,

If you live in Toronto, you may have heard the buzz surrounding the first official Macaron Day! You can find more information at the official website {here}. Basically, you can walk into any of the participating macaron stores and ask for a free macaron and whatever additional macarons you purchase, 25% of the cost will go towards a local charity {this year is Red Door Family Shelter}!

Unfortunately, I was super busy with school and personal stuff so I was only able to visit one macaron store called MoRoCo. I was fortunate enough to snag one of the last free macarons as there were a limited quantity being given out!

I've been to MoRoCo before for their afternoon high-tea and I would highly recommend this restaurant cafe for small get togethers with friends or a fun date. Other than their macarons, they are also known for their chocolate creations!

chocolate cherry, raspberry, and salted caramel.

I also heard that Macaron Day was being celebrated in NYC and Paris, though I'm not 100% sure if it is being celebrated in any other major city. If not, perhaps you can start one in your city, as it is a great cause and a great excuse to eat macarons :p!

Media Event :: MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week x VAWK

Hi Everyone,

Today I was super lucky to attend the VAWK Sci-fi Samurai A/W 2012 Fashion Show held during the MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week. I was lucky enough to score free tickets through connections and was able to get a designer's guest seat! I didn't take as many photos as I thought I did, but here's some pictures from the event!

For those who don't know VAWK is designed by Sonny Fong who won the second season of Project Runway Canada and is from Toronto!

Picture Diary :: Seven Grams

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely day! I sure am - the weather here in Toronto has recently become sunnier and warmer (and I hope the trend continues) so my friend and I decided to wonder around the city to enjoy the weather.

My friend ended up taking me to a cafe that I've never visited before called Seven Grams! We are both super addicted to Green Tea drinks from Starbucks so we figured we could try some hole-in-the-wall-indie-but-amazing-quality-green-tea drinks! :)
