OOTD + New in My Closet :: Shopping Date with Mom & Juicy Couture Horseshoe Necklace

Today I went shopping with my mom and I saw these wedge shoes (pictured part of my OOTD)! They were super cute but sale for $179... Going to wait for them to either go down in price or wait for something better since these are relatively high and I don't see myself wearing these everyday (thus making the cost per wear for these boots higher).

What do you guys think of the boots? They are pointy and a wedge - that are high but super comfy. 

On another note, I did pick up this super cute horseshoe necklace from Juicy Couture! It was on sale for ~$27. I've always loved unicorns and mythical horses - plus horseshoes are supposed to be lucky! Hopefully this necklace will bring me a little bit of luck - as I am in dire need of some.

OOTD :: First Day of School

Today's was my first day of school as a continuing education student! I haven't officially convocated with my Bachelors yet but come November it will be official! For those who are wondering, I'm a Human Health & Disease Major, but I'm currently taking some literature courses in continuing ed! I must say, for any female students - a huge cute tote is quite important! Mine has quite a beating, as I purchased it in Paris (I got the Longchamp bag with the Eiffel Tower on it!) in 2011 - the bag has seen 2 years of abuse. I highly recommend students to invest in a Longchamp as a 'designer' school bag as it is made of nylon and is quite durable and very light. Additionally, the bag can be placed in a backpack as it is easily folded! 

For the rest of you starting school - best of luck in this school year and enjoy it! I feel ridiculous saying it - but school will be the best time of your life! I haven't officially graduated and I miss my school dearly.

Today I was super lucky to attend the VAWK Sci-fi Samurai A/W 2012 Fashion Show held during the MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week. I was lucky enough to score free tickets through connections and was able to get a designer's guest seat! I didn't take as many photos as I thought I did, but here's some pictures from the event!

Picture Diary :: Seven Grams

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely day! I sure am - the weather here in Toronto has recently become sunnier and warmer (and I hope the trend continues) so my friend and I decided to wonder around the city to enjoy the weather.

My friend ended up taking me to a cafe that I've never visited before called Seven Grams! We are both super addicted to Green Tea drinks from Starbucks so we figured we could try some hole-in-the-wall-indie-but-amazing-quality-green-tea drinks! :)

Blog :: Winterlicious at The Fifth Grill & Terrace

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who live in Toronto, you probably heard of the infamous fine dining event called Winterlicious (also known as Summerlicious in the summer). For those of you whom the term is new, it's basically a period of time, twice a year, where fine dining restaurants typically have a slow business flow - but are counteracting the slow business by luring in customers with a prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner! I would say 95% off the top restaurants in the GTA take part in this event, allowing for everyone to try dishes that would normally cost them way more! Prices go up to $15-$25 for lunch and $35-$45 for dinner. It is typical that the prix fixe menu includes a minimum of three dishes, appetizer entree and dessert, however some restaurants may include more.

This week, my friends and I went to the Fifth Gril & Terrace. It's a small upscale restaurant that is located on the rooftop of an old warehouse in the heart of downtown Toronto that is a perfect fusion of French and classic steakhouse cuisine. It's only accessible by a private lift which is also ornately decorated to add to that extra exclusivity factor.

Below is actually a nightclub (called the Fifth) but I've never attended a party there - but my friend is there as I type my blog! I am anxiously awaiting to hear the juicy stories she has to tell!

Anyways, my friend & I got ready at my flat and managed to take our traditional typical crazy silly girly pictures prior to meeting up with the boys. Unfortunately, my fringe was rebelling against me - in preparation for "next time" can anyone tell me how they fix their bangs when it won't behave? It would be much appreciated!

Photo Diary :: A Week in Photos & Mini OOTD

Hi Everyone!!!

I hope your second week of the year has turned out just wonderfully! I must admit, this week I was quite lucky in terms of shopping finds and academically speaking. Just another one of my photo diary entries! :)

I was able to find some of the Versace x H&M Collection still in stores. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes and a belt. I'm also selling some of them!!! I'm selling the black suede boots in a size US7/EUR38 (It's odd sizing) and the silver belt with gold hardware in XS. If you are interested send me a comment!!! Unfortunately, I'm only selling in the GTA area at the moment, but give me a shout if you still really want it, we might be able to come into an agreement.

I went to one of my close friend's birthday dinner and it turns out she gave me a belated birthday present!!! A Tom Ford Lipstick!!! I am happy to get it!

I just did my nails with my friend while watching Vampire Diaries! Base nail colour: Chanel Black Pearl (borrowed from my friend). Glitter: Revlon 934 Blue Mosaic.

My hair has been really dry lately (probably due to the excessive hair dying) so I'm going to try this hot oil treatment from Alberto. I'll let you guys know how it works once I use it for awhile!

Hello Everyone!

First OOTD of the year! Today, I was just hanging out with some friends. We watched Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol (highly recommend it!) and ate dinner.

Now I understand why lighting is so important for OOTD photos! The lighting in the succession of photos I took weren't all the same so it didn't look as seamless as I would have liked!

OOTD + Blog :: In Their Shoes

Hello! Today isn't much of a "fashionable" outfit of the day, but a notable one for me! Today was the first day I got to put on some scrubs and sit in a full day of surgeries bouncing from OR to OR ^____^ (and the occasional epidermal shot - boy, those needles are long and scary!)! It was really fun and educational at the same time. I was lucky to find that my little cousin's best friend's father is an anesthesiologist (long relationship!) at a local hospital and was kind enough to let me follow him around for the day.




Had to sneak in a little shot whilst on lunch break when no one was around... Super excited to be in scrubs but super embarrassed to be taking pictures of myself in a professional public area!

It was a really eye opening experience! I get to go back again on Friday... super pumped!
