If you live in Toronto, you may have heard the buzz surrounding the first official Macaron Day! You can find more information at the official website {here}. Basically, you can walk into any of the participating macaron stores and ask for a free macaron and whatever additional macarons you purchase, 25% of the cost will go towards a local charity {this year is Red Door Family Shelter}!
Unfortunately, I was super busy with school and personal stuff so I was only able to visit one macaron store called MoRoCo. I was fortunate enough to snag one of the last free macarons as there were a limited quantity being given out!
I've been to MoRoCo before for their afternoon high-tea and I would highly recommend this restaurant cafe for small get togethers with friends or a fun date. Other than their macarons, they are also known for their chocolate creations!

My purchased macarons :: marshmallow, caramel apple, pistachio, chocolate cherry, raspberry, and salted caramel. |
My free macaron :: red velvet!!!! |
I also heard that Macaron Day was being celebrated in NYC and Paris, though I'm not 100% sure if it is being celebrated in any other major city. If not, perhaps you can start one in your city, as it is a great cause and a great excuse to eat macarons :p!
Hope you enjoyed my quick blog post!

What is fashion without a little humor? Well if you ask Anna Wintour, I’m sure the answer would be… “fashion.” However, that is certainly not how I look at it. I love the axis of which the world of fashion rotates.
